How to change/learn a movement pattern
Просмотров 7 тыс.Год назад
If you’re a coach or player looking to try to make a technical change or simply learn a new movement pattern, using external proximal cues can be very beneficial. In skill acquisition research, there is a huge body of evidence pointing to the fact that when we tell athletes to focus on parts of their body during movement, performance often suffers. Implements like tape, wrist bands or pieces of...

Generating velocity is about building elastic energy in our shoulder joint. Though this concept is fairly easy to understand it is often done incorrectly.
“High Elbow” and it’s impact on performance.

The first video in a series about the cue of “High Elbow” and its potential impact on an athletes performance. While usually in reference to a high point of contact, it can often lead athletes down sub optimal paths in regards to the arm cocking phase. In this video we look at the concept of leverage and how it applies to the body.

Most Common Hitting & Throwing Mistake
Good❤🎉
great explanation! one of the best on youtube for sure
For me, the most impressive thing is the shoulder mobility.
In business and in life, may you wear a smile.
Thats the new Defense for the Spain Soccer Team.
this whole time I been running as fast as possible in all 3 steps and now I know how to fix my problems
Is it beneficial when you lift up and pull down your non hitting arm?
Thakns, that's the best tutorial on RUclips that covers everything within the approach, i struggled with my technique a lot but by training without the ball i managed to hit every ball powerfully without touching the net
Can I learn to do left hand as a right handed person??
The last step is smart because you also already have the rotation and only have to focus on rotating back to normal on where you hit. I always had my feet parallel to each other so I had to rotate behind and back to normal and hit in one jump and I barely had any control. I gotta try this. Haikyuu also got me into volleyball 4 years ago😂😂
i read the title wrong
💀
You should make an exercise on how to get more Hip/Shoulder Separation
I played A level years ago and naturally hit the ball well. Now I am so arm focused I am not using my lower body to create the "whip". I saw videos of my jump and my hips don't rotate, stays pretty square to the net, so all power has to come from my shoulder. I was doing thay in golf and now focus on lower body and my scores drop and hit it further. Will use these cues. Thank you.
Hey please help me what should be my ideal stance before taking my approach as i am a right handed hitter Should i keep my right leg in front a bit before starting my approach as my first step would be left leg or what should i do?😢
Are the same mechanics used when serving as well?
is this a two step or 4 step
Hi coach, do you have any advice for energy transfer during the approach? I try to follow your 4 step approach, but my penultimate steps never feels fluid, and it feels like I'm not generating forward momentum into upwards momentum correctly. Do you have any tips or ques to think about when doing the approach to improve fluidity? Should the final left foot (I'm righty) be a step in or a slide to stop? At what point do I twist my upper body? Thanks so much!
The guy in the video didnt manage to use the left foot correctly in order to give the maximum jump strength into the legs
how are you left handed and right
I want to hit like this soo badly!
Simply amazing!! I am your fan! ❤
lve you
the goat is back
I thought, maybe, a bearing ball of an appropriate size or weight could be the right choice, and cheap in addition.
This is best technique
Hi! I just found your channel but it’s really informational and simple!
Isaac, i do not pretend to be right at all, but for this type of hitting the ball must be a prerequisite: to jump high enough to be able to realise such an amplitudal hitting as compared with less amplitudal ones.
Ok, but is that your real hair?
Bro drops 1 video per year and yet it's always the best, simply explained, straight to the point volleyball advice for optimal movements
best channel
I see a lot of channels like noezybuckets/spiker academy on insta suggestion the circular arm swing or "low drawback" for shoulder health and power. Ive seen your videos on hitting and they definitely helped me understand how to use the kinetic chain better and actually hit with the hips, chest and core etc. What do you think about doing this sorta full body arm swing for a middle? I see lots of times coaches recommend middle arm swing should be more arm focused because its a shorter process and middle hitting is all about speed, but personally I want to rip balls as hard as I can and have a fully connected swing, is that still achievable for middle blockers hitting fast sets? Im 6'5 but my vert is not crazy and I don't have long hang time at all
자막 있으면 좋겠어요 ㅜㅜ
Honestly, I can't classify the differences
hey isaac:)
thank you so much for everything you do isaac, youre work is much appreciated. Ultimately I managed to become a more efficient and healthier attacker through your videos about the physics of the approach and espacially the arm swing:)) much love from germany and please continue spreading your knowledge

no fluff on this channel. straight to BIZ
Very impressive.. So lovely to watch..❤❤❤
Thank you so much 😀

clean af. finally a video that shows everything that I need to know as a lefty
this dude's video is slow even at 2x speed
Great video. Regarding which step to be on when the setter touches the ball. It’s important to understand if you’re getting a GO vs a HUT set for instance. That will dictate on which step you should be on when the setter touches the ball.
Attake speed video
Your videos are world class resources for volleyball athletes and I am incredibly grateful, please continue to share you knwoledge
Fantastic Explanation. Thank you for your expertise
ideally the last step on toes
spiked so hard that the ball became a half circle
